On the 14th of May, 2025, Tempus Pretioso : The Emergency Medicine Club of KMC Manipal conducted their flagship event of the year, EM MAY. It was a 2 day event turning the spotlight on adrenaline fueled clinical simulation and skill based training.
DAY 1 : MISSION MAYDAY
A competitive simulation based challenge where duos battle against time to navigate through clinical cases and diagnose them. The cases were based on emergencies such as radioactive spills and bomb blasts with the creative puzzle solving demanding rapid teamwork and resilience under pressure. Participants needed critical thinking while running through obstacles that mimic real world challenges which provided a thrilling experience.
The winners of Mission Mayday were : 1. Srishti and Aanya 2. Satwika and Nidhi Parcha
DAY 2: CAPTAIN CODE BLUE
This provided a hands on workshop teaching skills such as chest tube insertion, Intubation, needle decompression and airway management. The highlight of this event was a guided tour of the Emergency Medicine Department of KMC while learning about the triage system and an intensive code blue simulation workshop where participants had to work in teams and work around a code blue situation.
