The recent 8-ball pool tournament held on 27th and 28th June, the first of its kind in KMC, Manipal, was organised by the Sports Committee in the Black Tiger Gaming Zone and showcased exceptional skill and thrilling competition. For the girls, the format included league stages followed by elimination rounds, while the boys faced a knockout format from the start. Each match, consisting of 3 to 5 frames, was fiercely contested down to the last ball.
The girls’ league stages highlighted consistent performance, leading to high-stakes elimination rounds. Meanwhile, the boys’ knockout matches were intense from the outset, with each frame crucial to survival. The tournament’s atmosphere was electric, with spectators captivated by the players’ precision and sportsmanship.
Overall, the tournament was a resounding success, celebrating the passion and dedication of its 26 participants, and leaving a lasting impression on all who witnessed, be it in person or through the livestream on Instagram.
