On the evenings of 23rd and 24th of August, Tempus Pretioso, the Emergency Medicine enthusiasts club of KMC Manipal, organized a workshop for the security personnel on MAHE Campus. The students taught numerous Basic Life Support skills to the attendees, including CPR, Seizure management, Hypoglycemia and Dehydration management, and response in cases of trauma.
The event was enthusiastically participated in by over 300 security guards from across the health sciences campus, and each person was given hands-on training in each skill, in order to ensure proficiency in case of an emergency, furthering the clubs objective to bring the knowledge of life-saving emergency maneuvers to as many people as possible.
