DESCRIPTION
Aaghaz, the Dramatics Club of KMC Manipal, is a passionate team of individuals dedicated to the exploration and expression of art in all its forms. We are a team of actors, scriptwriters, directors, designers, photographers aiming to convey woes and worries of a common individual into meaningful art. We have represented the college in at a National Level in multiple outstation fests like Spandan by JIPMER, Autumn Muse by St.John’s, Silhouettes by AFMC where we won multiple accolades. We also conduct events such as “Humor Hour” delving into standup. We have also branched out as “Aaghaz Productions” to further hone our filmmaking skills and have been very successful within one year since its creation. We ultimately offer a space for creative expression, teamwork, and appreciation of the performing arts.

DESCRIPTION
Art3mis: the official e-Sports & Gaming Club of KMC Manipal, is one of its kind of a community conducting various enthralling events throughout the year ranging from traditional e-Sports tournaments like ‘PRIMA: the Annual Gaming Fest’ of KMC to fun flagship events like Mid May Mayhem the most recent being ‘Granny in Real Life’. One of our main goals is to reduce the barrier of entry to this wonderful hobby. Our events require no pre-requisite knowledge or experience with video games. Our posts and stories on our Instagram page are also geared towards this goal. We have dedicated posts and stories ‘Artemis Approved’ on upcoming titles, providing information about release dates, pricing and genre of the new releases. DESCRIPTION
Cadenza, the music club of KMC Manipal is responsible for various vocal and instrumental performances, be it solo, duet or group events. Iris, the Queer Club of KMC Manipal, works towards creating a more inclusive campus through interactive events and games such as ‘Pot Of Gold’. Iris also maintains an online presence, publishing content about the LGBTQ+ community on our page, as well as an annual Photoshoot.

After an insightful trip for a medical quiz in Mexico, the students of KMC sought to create a competition facilitating academic and cultural exchange in Manipal. Thus, the International Quiz For Medical Undergraduates was conceived and has been running successfully since 2017.
IQMU’s vision is to serve as an entity dedicated to the development of innovative learning strategies and the creation of well-rounded physicians.
The 6th Edition of the International Quiz for Medical Undergraduates was held in June 2022. While the online Back to Basics Quiz was held on 4th and 5th June, the main event – Chiron, was held from 17th to 19th June. This was the first time IQMU was organised in a hybrid mode, combining the best of both online and offline formats. With over 150 participants for Back to Basics and close to 100 participants for Chiron, this was IQMU’s biggest year yet! Apart from all corners of India, contestants hailed from Malaysia, Hungary and Philippines as well. Back to Basics saw LHMC, Seth GSMC and KMC Manipal taking the Top 3 coveted spots.

DESCRIPTION
Justitia is India’s first student-run Forensic Medicine & Toxicology club. One of KMC’s three academic societies, we organize events & workshops based on forensic skills and techniques. Apart from this, our content team regularly releases informative posts, educational reels and academic challenges/quizzes in the field of forensic medicine.

AIMS:
1) We regularly plan and conduct escape-room style events & academic workshops on forensic skills (blood spatter analysis, ballistics, fingerprint analysis, crime scene investigation etc).
Some of these include: The annual Murder Mystery Dinner (MMD), InQuestigate, Holmicide & most recently, Nine-Nine Nightmare – A Brooklyn 99 themed escape-room style event.
2) We conduct these events in conjunction with the student council of KMC, as well as for adjoining medical colleges (FMMC most recently). We also collaborate with the other academic clubs, IQMU & SRF in jointly conducting Vedam’24 – KMC’s annual academic fest.
3) Our content team works to release regular posts & reel series regarding current and past medico-legal issues (Aftermath, ForenPsyche, Unsolved etc) as well as educational forensic content (Coroner’s chronicles, Beyond the Body, Fine Lines) to raise awareness about the subjects under our purview.
4) We also host panel discussions and online events that encourage wider participation (iCop) and in-person forensic quizzes (Compos Mentis) in conjunction with the FMT department, KMC Manipal. Justitia also collaborates with other hospital departments in inter-disciplinary events.

DESCRIPTION
Phoenix, the western dance crew of our college is a vibrant and dynamic community for students passionate about dance styles like hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, and more. The club participates in intercollegiate dance competitions, cultural fests, and flash mobs where the dancers can showcase their talents. It also releases dance related content on online platforms for larger audience exposure. AIM: Our club’s aim is to provide a platform for dancers of all skill levels to explore their creativity and learn new techniques for their betterment. Through regular practice sessions, workshops, and performances, members can enhance their skills and gain confidence in a fun and supportive environment.
