The relay writing event during Verve is always a thrilling and unique competition that brings together students to collaborate on crafting a coherent and magical story. Held on the 2nd of March 2025, it marks a strong beginning to day 1 of the literary events of Verve 2025.

Conducted from 7-9 PM at the Interact Halls, the event begins with two prompts, the starting sentences for two intriguing stories, and each team is assigned one prompt to write according to the chit they pick.

The first member of the team gets 30 minutes, starting with the prompt and going on. The second member gets only the last sentence of the previous teammate and has a further 30 minutes to end the story as they wish. The editor, the final member of the trifecta gets both halves and another 30 minutes to edit the story without changing any major plotlines.

The challenge lies in seamlessly integrating their section with the rest of the narrative, creating continuity and maintaining a coherent storyline despite the varied writing styles of different groups. Interact fills with the sounds of rushed pen writing and almost loud thinking as the team pours over papers, hoping to perfect their story. The final result is a patchwork of diverse ideas and perspectives.
